Clinic Format

  • Problem Solving. Vivian works with you and your horse. Something as simple as a lack of forward motion will cause issues.
  • The relationship between rider position and horses ability to move correctly. You would be amazed at the difference it makes to you and your horse when the rider is balanced and even.
  • Relaxation techniques for horse and rider. Learn skills that help you and your horse to relax. A relaxed rider leads to a relaxed horse. Horses can sense a riders tension and then 'feed' from that tension.
  • Breathing control and muscle awareness for riders. Learn to breath. A simple outward breath creates a postive experience.
  •  Progressive exercises for horses in training. Learn when to take the next step in your horses training. Ensure that the basics are well established before moving on to more difficult  exercises.
  • Gain respect and stay safe. Nobody wants to be riding an out of control dangerous horse. Horse riding is and should be a pleasant experience. Your horse needs to learn to respect what you are asking and to trust that you are not going to put them in danger.
  • Conditioning and relaxing your horse to avoid injury. A relaxed suplle horse is less likely to cause injury to themselves. A soft supple horse is a happy horse.
  •  Basic training programs leading to all equine sports. The basics of riding cover every disapline. We all want breaks, accelerator and steering. These should be instant and we should not be hoping that when we need these they will work!
  •  Learn to enjoy the challenge of training your own horse. There is nothing more satisfying then achievment. Something as simple as being able to ride out of the arena or even master a new upward transition is beneficial. You do not have to be mastering the cutting horse slide stop of execute a Grand Prix dressage test. Every step forward is an achievement.
